Full Version: Grammy Poll #1
Bitter But Brilliant > TELEVISION > TV Potpourri

Keyser Soze
My public pick is Gnarls Barkley. I secretly yearn for The Dixie Chicks to run over the boys, but my hard-ass persona forces those secrets to remain buried deep inside my soulless heart. If "D*** in a Box" was released on Justin's album, there would be no contest.

I voted for Gnarls but the RHCP are my sentimental faves. I was a major Chili Pepper/Fishbone dork back in the late 80s to early 1990s era.

sniffle, I really miss those times.
Dirty Martini
Even without "Dick in a Box" on his album, I had to vote for Justin. Not because I think he deserves it, but because I think he'll get it.

Justin Timberlake, just because I really can not stop playing his cd. It's like a disease. But I do think it will probably go to Gnarls Barkley or Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Gnarls Barkley for being different and not really fitting in with pop music. And RHCP just because they are vets to this game, and the songs I've heard off the cd do seem to be really good.

I think Justin should win from those nominees and I predict that he, in fact, will.

It's just his year. I'll be shocked if he doesn't have a big night.

I voted for Gnarls, but I won't cry if the Chili Peppers or JT win.

If JT told me I was beautiful, I would page him on the regular.

So yes, I voted for him.

I voted for John Mayer just to screw with your minds.

I just got the JT cd for my b-day and I love it!
copssister
While Gnarls and Timberlake were probably the most played on my mp3 player during 2006, I had to go with the Chicks. "Not Ready to Make Nice" certainly filled an angry woman niche, and the rest of the songs on the CD are just as good.

As I near geriatric status, I'm thrilled that my taste in music is still current enough to own half of the nominated CDs. That hasn't happened since the last time Jethro Tull was nominated.

As much as I ordinarily hate John Mayer, I've gotta admit...I've liked the heck out of every cut I've heard off that album.

Sad to say, I actually haven't heard any of those albums (albums? Is that still usable?). But now copssister has inspired me to get out "Aqualung" and scare the cats. BAM BAM BAMP BAM BAMPBAMP!

How many times must I explain that my avatar is not to be taken literally?

Gnarls Barkley for the win! I love every track on St. Elsewhere.

"Fishbone is red hot! Fishbone is red hot!"

I voted Gnarls because I really like hip-hop weirdo Cee-Lo (he gets referred to as "hip-hop weirdo Cee-Lo" in the press a lot) and because as much as I love the Chilis, that album is weeeak.

That "Hey-oh listen what I say-oh" song makes me want to punch someone in the throat. I don't think the Grammys have anything to do with musical talent or quality, so I still wouldn't mind if the Chilis won, but my God I hate that song.
