| I'm thinkin' of changing Buffy's to "wench" But I'm not a TOOL! Am I?
I'm going to call dibs on "High Priestess" since we are getting so royal around here. It's my higher Arcana card anyway...
Meanwhile, I like the old TSucks thread, Black Sheep, real thoughts I wish I could post on TWoP. Can you drum someting like that up? Thanks for hanging in there PMK.
JDF is "Court Jester", right?
If we're going to be nominating people for titles, then Mike-el needs to be "Thread Starting HOOOOOOR!"
I might forgive him, though, since he created a smush name for Creed and Stanley on "The Office".
Got it!
I want "Lusty Stableboy". Not just "Stableboy," as anyone could be one of those.
If he requests and gets "Lusty Stableboy", I should get "Queen of the World".
*snort*
buffy is a floosey. *points* Hoooooooooooor!
I've never requested a custom title, but, with my new avatar, I'd like to be an Albert-lovin' strumpet.
Now I think maybe I need to come up with another title since I no longer trump buffy. (Not that I want to, as I'm skeered to know what trumps "floosey".)
*joins in the pointing and snorting*
I'd point and snort, but lusty stableboys and floozies have a long historical relationship.
Come sit next to me Eris. We'll drink champagne and make fun of the rest of these Rubes behind their backs.
Hey!? What's up with my title? I didn't ask for that!?
*pouts*
*points*
*snorts*
*derides*
I have an idea for the T-Sucks junior forums.
I know you didn't want to start a "Food" sub-forum PMK, but how about a "Ragging on females" (but not that title!) forum. It could cover all the FN-female stuff, + the endless "eat a cookie" or "she's a hooor!" or "boob job join crazy!" posts, and other insults to various women such as Kelly Ripa, Bitsy, reality show women, etc.
Hey, I just noticed that the "This post edited by...." line appeared when I corrected a typo in a post. I had kind of liked not seeing that every time I make a minor tweak to a post -- and I'm a habitual tweaker.
Did someone flip a settings switch somewhere? Way back in the old days -- ie, yesterday -- it seemed to be an option check box on the posting page, but I'm not seeing it today.
Another tweaker here. Put me down for making it optional, rather than automatic, too.
As per a kickass suggestion from woodstove, and still on the royalty thing, I would like to be the Princess Bride. I too like to point and snort.
I would like to be officially recognized as "Village Idiot".
I'm a horrible speller too and sometimes tweak to correct, so add me to the "option" vote.
Me too, and I thought I was the typo queen here. With the new cordless keyboard it's even worse. The edited by showing up AFTER someone else posts (as on the old/old site) is a good compromise.
Meanwhile, I want the wimmin thread (a lot)
No rush whatsoever, since you just gave me such a pretty new title, but it just doesn't go with "woodstove."
So, may I be "chimneysweep" please? QUOTE (woodstove+Oct 25 2006, 10:58 AM) I have an idea for the T-Sucks junior forums. I've gotten a teeny bit of feedback that basically says that 75% of the posts brought over are about wimmen-bashing, so what is the point of a separate thread? But, I'll ponder it for a bit and see if it looks like it'll add to the discussion. Re: The edit option checkbox .. um .. lemme ponder that as well. There was a reason for removing that. Not that I don't trust you guys.
Question ...
How the heck did we get on the royal title kick? Is that Buffy's fault? I was planning on using the same automatic titles from the other B3 board.
When in doubt, it's always safe to blame buffy.
<points j'accuse!>
Buffy! All Buffy! All I did was kill time at work... urchin, wench, ...uh Buffy! QUOTE (potmeetskettle+Oct 25 2006, 09:09 PM) How the heck did we get on the royal title kick? Well, DodgerGirl started a concurrent "practical title" kick; so in that spirit, I'd like to have the title "Sturdy Peasant Wench".
You wanna blame me for Global Warming also? Buncha peasents!
QUOTE (indigoblue+Oct 26 2006, 12:53 AM) I'd like to have the title "Sturdy Peasant Wench". QUOTE (DodgerGirl+Oct 26 2006, 09:27 AM) My peeps! (er, peep?) We are a dwindling bunch, 'tis true. QUOTE (woodstove+Oct 25 2006, 06:24 PM) <points j'accuse!> Well, I blame you for getting "Chim-Chimmine" stuck in my head whenever I read a post of yours.

PMK, in your FAQ, the part about name changes, you left out one of the old rules you had. No "Miss Alli" or "Sars" type names. Perhaps you don't care anymore, but I thought I would mention it.
Are you going to open a custom title thread again?
If it's OK, I'd like my title to read "I'll be a celebrity! And so will you!" Thanks.
PMK If it is not too much trouble may my name be changed to "anti-mean girl". Thanks! And thanks for the awesome new board.
PMK, if you're not burnt out on custom titles yet, I'd like to request "Misanthrope."
Also, I'd like to nominate Mike-El's return to "Poo-Flinging Racist." It was obscure but always gave me a chuckle. Besides, no one flings poo quite like him. QUOTE (EssPee+Oct 27 2006, 10:56 AM) Also, I'd like to nominate Mike-El's return to "Poo-Flinging Racist." It was obscure but always gave me a chuckle. Besides, no one flings poo quite like him. Although I was a good sport about it and played along, the truth is I always thought that title was terribly offensive. So could you just shorten it to "Racist"?
I'm trying to come up with my own special title, but the only thing I can think of is "Not PMK". Not funny. So I thought what the heck. What do you guys think? I'm open to suggestions as well as bribes.
"Strudy"
HYmmm
Stroppy -- Strumpet Strumpet -- Stroppy nah...
I think that "BOW DOWN BITCHES" has a nice mod-ly sound to it. (I'd suggest "FEAR ME" but TVJunkie probably has dibs on it.)

Damn, I knew as soon as I hit "enter" that I'd be hearing about that. If you had it as your title, I wouldn't be as likely to forget it, ya know.
My next title: "Skeered of TVJ". QUOTE (Magpie+Oct 27 2006, 06:01 PM) Damn, I knew as soon as I hit "enter" that I'd be hearing about that. If you had it as your title, I wouldn't be as likely to forget it, ya know. Bettah Recognize
My next title: "Skeered of TVJ".
Can I get mine to say "I'm with Zapato"? If yo're still doing that, PMK, it would be much appreciated.
All done
Thanks, pmk!
I see we now have a separate thread for title requests, so I'll go back to the original topic here and say that this new board is working great for me. I can even get in here during lunchtime, which I seldom could do on the previous boards.
Request: Can we start a "Building a Better TWoP Show" thread in Creative Pursuits? If you look at the "Posts, Posters, and Entire Threads That Bug" thread, you'll see that we've sadly been derailing it for a couple of pages. We don't want to be off-topic, but the concept must be explored!
May we please have a "Judge Judy" thread? It might just be a conversation between Officer Byrd and me, but I think we have other JJ watche...er, viewers here.
QUOTE (DodgerGirl+Nov 4 2006, 09:39 AM) May we please have a "Judge Judy" thread? It might just be a conversation between Officer Byrd and me, but I think we have other JJ watche...er, viewers here. sure. go ahead and start one. the TWOP threads are the only section where you can't start threads.
I like to keep up with topics by e-mail, so that if I'm ever unable to web surf, it's easy to keep up with what's going on. However, getting an e-mail every single time someone posts in a topic is pretty overwhelming. Can a "daily digest" subscription option be added, as they have at TWOP? That'd help me out a lot.
Would you please change the Judge Judy thread to include all TV court shows?
Oh! HERE'S the request thread! I should have been reading with my eyes.
Can we get a mad libs thread in the Lighter Side of TWOP subforum?
I was thinking that perhaps a
"me me me" overflow thread would be good, since comments seem pretty common, and you don't want them there. Just a thought.
I like punching movies in the face, but I really like punching songs in the face. Can we punch music too? Maybe kick it in the shins? Knee it in the groin?
Hey, pmk, I just want to say how much I enjoy reading the "Me Me Me" and "Foto Friday" threads. It's fun to learn little tidbits about BBBer's (and the contents of their refrigerators). Someday I will quit being lame and I'll hook up my camera to my computer so I can join in.
Hook up the camera, or I'll kick your butt.
Suggestion: A FTC thread where I can report TVJ for being a big meanie.
Give TVJ a break, she has a brain tumor.
Can we get the "TWOP Cliches" thread back?
Hey PMK? Is there anyway to put a posters quote on the top of the front page like we did at one of the other sites? That was fun.
QUOTE (buffyvol+Nov 27 2006, 04:09 AM) Hey PMK? Is there anyway to put a posters quote on the top of the front page like we did at one of the other sites? That was fun. I haven't quite figured out how to do that here. Me not so good techhie.
If it's like other IPB forums, you should be able to edit the HTML wrapper in the Admin CP.
Is there a way to change the way the forums are marked as read. I come here and visit one thread and when I come back all of the rest of my threads are reset. Then I have to figure where I left off or I miss new posts. This especially happens when I come to check my pm's, drives me crazy.
CRAZY!
Yeah, I have exactly the same problem. I kept meaning to mention it, and kept forgetting to do so just as often.
Is it too early to suggest a flouncing thread? There have been a few great ones at twop, but I didn't know if there were enough to constitute a thread here.
QUOTE (StickyKeys+Jan 20 2007, 12:26 PM) Is it too early to suggest a flouncing thread? There have been a few great ones at twop, but I didn't know if there were enough to constitute a thread here. Request denied.
Is there a way to activate polls?
For old time's sake I thought it would be fun to have a poll inviting folks to vote on their favorite TSucks/BBB Moment in History: Unmasking FormerOlympian, the banning and resurrection of SquirellyQ, etc. etc.
Huh. It took me a bit to figure it out, JDF. (Polls work for me in all the threads.) But, I think I figured out how to make them work for everyone else. They should be available in the "Lighter Side of TWoP" thread.
Is the "Other Forums that Bug Thread" from the "T-Sucks Jr." section supposed to be gone? I may have overlooked an announcement about it (and if so, I'm sorry--I really did look), but I could have sworn the thread was there this morning, and now it isn't. It may just be my browser or something, but I figured I would ask.
It's not there for me either.
Oh, I just found it. It's now in theWWW Cafe topic.
Can we get a ThreadOutlook thread, or a crystal ball thread for shows that we see heading towards wank or trainwreck potential? Do we have something like this that I'm just not thinking about?
In the FTC thread we're talking about the carwreck that is the Kids by the Dozen thread and I wonder if it wouldn't be better suited for a different area. I learn something new everyday. Thanks!
PMK, are we going to have a BBB 2007 (TWoP) poster awards thread, as we did at TWoP Sucks?
I was just thinking about that the other day, woodstove!
Pretty please, pmk???
Re: Golden Fleece Awards
Ya know .. I'm not sure. That was Gaucho's baby, and she's not around anymore. I'll ponder it. *rubs chin*
Someone might jump in to help PMK, pretty please!
Perhaps, in honor of our new place, we could call them The Golden Clog Awards this year. Didn't she just choose categories, and we all nominated people and then did polls to vote or the nominations selected? It's been a while...
This has to be done. It was one of the most enjoyable times I had at the old site. Please?
In other news, BBB is climbin' the charts. Though one hundred is as elusive as Robert Denby, thus far.

I know this is dorky but I figure the mods get enough PMs. I just want to say that I love PMK and Keyser and think they have been doing a great job. I love this board and while I think a few posters can be a bit strident, I think the majority are fantastic and don't give me a "mean bitches" vibe that I get from another board I belong to. Kudos and keep up the good work. I would hate to see this site go away.
Not dorky at all and I second the feelings. I love, admire both and there aren't enough words in the world to express my appreciation for all the hard work they do for this board. I followed the thread and was glad I did as the new board she created was so relaxing compared to the free for all at SS.
So thank you, thank you, thank you.
Yay, the pull quotes are back!
QUOTE (Gladly+Mar 20 2007, 12:38 PM) Yay, the pull quotes are back! Thanks. Is it weird to have that up there making that link so long? I can't figure out a better way to do it. To quit out of "lo-fi" mode and return to the regular forums, please click here.
